Makeup Application For Mature Skin

I am a firm believer that you can look beautiful at any age, but if you feel like your skin is getting older and more mature, then there are definitely some specific things that you can do to make it appear flawless once again. The first thing to consider is what type of facial care products that you are using for your aging skin to make sure that it is not showing too many fine lines and wrinkles. It is best to use quality anti aging products that will work to stimulate collagen below the surface, which helps to make your face feel plump and youthful again. I also do recommend getting a microdermabrasion or chemical peel, which will remove layers of dead cells on your face, making way for new and young cells to push forward once again. These treatments are a fantastic step to younger and fresher looking skin right away.

Next, I recommend using mineral makeup, simply because of the fact that it does lay on your skin in a way that looks the most natural. It will not sit in the creases and fine lines on your face, looking heavy and mask-like as many liquid foundations do. Mineral makeup will work to naturally cover the fine lines and wrinkles on your face without looking too heavy. With mineral makeup, you also do have the added benefit of being able to apply layers, so you can start out light and apply more, depending on how much coverage that you need. If you feel like you have heavy under eye circles or fine lines around your under eye area, then you can simply mix a small amount of your mineral makeup foundation with water in the palm of your hand to create a liquid concealer paste. This works well to cover up any blemishes or darker areas on your face to even out skin tone, especially since mineral makeup does have all-natural ingredients that are healthy for your skin, while providing the ultimate coverage.

If over the years you have developed redness or irritation in your skin, especially in the form of rosacea, look for yellow undertones in your foundation. Again, I have to point upon the fact that mineral makeup is perfect for rosacea because it provides full coverage without any type of irritation since it is so natural. When you are looking for a mineral makeup foundation for your red or irritated skin, make sure that you look for something with yellow undertones, which will work to neutralize the redness in your face. Even though your skin may be maturing, don't be afraid to use bright and fresh colors in your makeup look. This will make you look youthful and radiant once again, which is perfect for makeup application for mature skin.

I recommend using a colored gloss for your lips on a daily basis, which is so much more natural looking than a dark and matte lipstick that may reveal signs of your age. For your cheeks, use a mineral makeup cheek powder pigment in a peach or pink tone that complements your skin. Brush it on in a circular motion from the apples of your cheek toward your temple to give you a naturally flushed look, which will make you look much less harsh than a traditional and dark blush application. It may be a great idea to skip eyeliner altogether and simply rely on the natural beauty of your eye area. This will make you appear fresh and much younger than a heavy eyeliner underneath your eyes, so focus on concealing your under eye area well and applying natural eye colors. Always open up your eyes with a lengthening mascara, as well as curling your lashes, and use complementary and natural eye colors. The best eye colors for any skin type are often browns and pinks, blended well together. This may be something that you will want to experiment with, depending on your skin type, but using these type of natural and subtle eye colors will be a welcome look for your mature skin. If you feel like your eye makeup is creasing upon the thin skin around your eye area that has fine lines, be sure to apply a primer beforehand, which will give your eye shadow color a base to stick to for a longer wear.

With these tips in hand, people won't even be able to tell your age because your makeup application will be so flawless!
